Eventhough the winter of 2018-2019 was not very cold, it was somehow unpleasant. Maybe because days were short and trees were naked without leaves. No flowers were blooming during this time. But suddenly in March I could notice the first signs of spring…
It begann with the magnolia tree I saw in the Yonsei University’s campus. It was full with those little white buds, but not yet opened.

Some days later, I couldn’t remember anything else than the golden hedges over Seoul. They were colored beautifully by the yellow blooming fosythia.

From beginning of April, from the south, the cherry blossom wave spread over Korea. You can see them everywhere you go. On the street, in parks, along streams or rivers, or simply at somebody’s house.

Everytime, when a breath of wind came, it felt like snow in April. I could spend hours just watching this magical scene. Also wondering, why Korean cherry blossom season was not as famous as the Japanese, eventhough they’re both wonderful…
And now on, Korea is alive again with thousand flowers’ colors – azalea, tulips, wisteria,… The spring has arrived!

Hope you like my spring collection. You can see all of them here.
